The Eastern Lands:
Galla - A mountainous country with harsh winters where Daine the Wildmage was from. They are to the northeast and are Tortall's allies. Capitol; Cria.
Tyra - A small country off the southeast border of Tortall that rely on trade for income and for, as their land is very swampy. Capitol; Tyra.
Tusaine - A relatively large country to the east of Tortall. Though they were once enemies, they are now Tortall's allies.
Maren - A large country east of Tusaine and Tyra that shares a border with Sarain. Maren has lots of farms and never has a lack of grain. They are Tortall's allies.

The Southern Lands:
The Inland Sea
Carthak - Once responsible for releasing the immortals on Tortall and its neighboring allies, it became Tortall's ally under Emperor Kaddar's rule. Now, a new emperor has taken the throne and he wants Tortall's wealth for Carthak. Carthak is a slave holding country. Capitol; Carthak.

The Copper Isles: Isles off the southwest coast of Tortall that are home to all different races; from Raka to white. A long time ago before the current half raka bloodline was placed on the throne, the Copper Isles held a grudge against Tortall for killing one of their Princesses. They've been Tortall's steadfast allies since Lady Alanna's daughter, Alianne helped to place a half-raka queen on the throne, and overthrow of the old rulers.

Sarain: A once powerful country in the far east that contains the Roof of the World. It is still struggling to rise from the famine that the war between highlanders and lowlanders and the K'miri tribes. Capitol; Rachia.

Scanra: Home to the Vikings of the age. Scanra is a country full of barbarians who live in clans that want what's best for themselves. Should they ever unite under one banner like they did when Keladry of Mindelan was fighting them, it would be disastrous. It sits to the north of Tortall and Trebond and Tortall's other northern fiefs are constantly protecting the borders from bandit attacks.

The Yamani Islands: Off the northwest coast of Tortall, the Yamani Islands are home to people that keep their emotions hidden. They are ruled by an ancient line of emperors that claim their throne came from the goddess Yama. They are Tortall's allies.
