 Welcome To LoT

Hello and welcome to LoT,

LoT is a beginner-advanced RPG that is set 200 years after the Lioness became the first Lady Knight. Here you can become anything you want to be, whether it's a Knight, or the realm's most powerful Sorcerer. It's only a matter of doing the time to attain your goals. Please be sure to read all the rules, and the Before Creation's posts before you move on to creating your character. I know it's not the most interesting thing, and that you may have been RP-ing for long enough to know the basics, but please read them. It'll save me lots of trouble in the long run, and make you a bit less confused starting out. Please consider going for a Canon Character, as there are many important roles that need to be filled before we can get anywhere with the plot. Note that Canon's on this site can look the way you want them to and have any personality under the sun as long as they're good at their jobs. If you're interested in trying for a Canon, please message me before posting so I know. It will also help me get to your bio a bit faster, and get you some brownie points.

As for the actual role play part of LoT, I just ask that you be realistic and try to stay in character. There's no way for a Page, or Squire to do everything perfect; they're going to get hurt in the field they've chosen, and they will be bad at some things. No character is perfect and if you RP them that way, then something went wrong in the creation process. I'm going to tell you my favorite saying right now; Originality is Key. I like characters with no talent that have to strive to be good at what they do. 'Evil' characters are awesome as well, just try not to go overboard with them, and make sure you chat with the person you're doing the thread with before you do any mental or physical damage to their character. Playing a non-perfect character, to me anyways, is more fun than playing one with no flaws. What will you do with someone that has no goals and nothing to work to wards?

Back to the Canon thing real quick; some of them are more important than others, so they will have auditions. I'll be sure to post in the Announcements when the auditions will be and where so you're ready ahead of time. The person I think fits the Canon the best will get the job; they must be active though, because audition characters will have an important role in the upcoming mess that Carthak is bringing to Tortall. Some of the Canons that will have auditions are the King, Queen, and Heir to the Throne. There are some more that aren't as obvious, such as the two other 'God-born' characters that Mithros, the Goddess, and the Black God sent to the Mortal Realm to assist the humans in avoiding war. I will be playing the one sent by the Goddess, but there will be Mithros' and the Black God's 'creations' to play as well, and those will be put up for audition. See? This is why you need to read the plot. How will you know what characters will be important if you don't?

Be sure I'll be seeing you around,
